Dusk - An Interactive Theater Production

2015

In winter term 2014/15, the HCI group offered a project that explores how interactive theatre could look and function like. Therefore, we built innovative elements for a theatre stage, based on technologies like e.g. Arduino or Kinect. Practical parts of this project include stage design, props and costume design, depending on the final concept ideas. Students from the Computer Science & Media, Human-Computer Interaction, MedienInformatik, Media Architecture, Media Art & Design, and Product Design worked collaborative during the classes. They formed the whole process together in teams, the project depends on the cooperation between creative and technical development.

I was part of the Research group that evaluated the interactive props and also took over some responsibilities in the overall organization of the play. Get more Info on the project here: uni-weimar.de/projekte/interactive-theatre/
